Speaker 1: (00:00) This morning video shows the aftermath of an explosion that rocked a community in Indiana, killing three people and damaging more than three dozen other homes. 11 of them, officials say, are now destroyed. Speaker 2: (00:14) It felt like an earthquake. Speaker 1: (00:15) Surveillance cameras captured the blast from a nearby street, the explosion leveling that home and tearing a path of destruction through the neighborhood. Speaker 2: (00:24) We saw the huge plume of smoke come up from the scene, and there was insulation and debris falling on us like snow. Speaker 3: (00:34) We hear just a crazy boom and our whole house shakes, and so we immediately ran outside because we didn't know what happened. Speaker 4: (00:42) I was just getting ready to come into work and my wife and I could feel the house vibrating from, apparently, that blast. Speaker 1: (00:52) Rescuers racing to the scene. Speaker 8: (00:54) I need everybody down past [inaudible 00:00:55]. Speaker 5: (00:56) People were laying on the ground. Speaker 9: (00:58) There was a female already rendering aid to one person on the ground, and I started to help her and the police came up and naturally they issued me out of the way Speaker 1: (01:06) The ATF and state fire marshal's office are now trying to figure out what triggered the explosion. Authorities turning off the gas and electricity. Speaker 6: (01:15) Can't be confident. The structures aren't safe to enter, so there may be somebody still in there. Speaker 1: (01:19) Some residents just thankful they weren't home at the time. Speaker 3: (01:23) Just so happened to not be there because it was the kids' first day of school. Speaker 1: (01:27) The red cross is helping those left homeless. Investigators still not saying if there was anything criminal about the explosion, only that they'll know more once they surveyed the area. George Stephanopoulos: (01:39) Hi everyone.
