You might have noticed that TapeACall recently removed the ‘Share to Rev’ option from its app. If you still want to record phone calls for free with the option to transcribe them using Rev’s services, here’s what you can do.

If you’re a U.S. iPhone User

Check out Rev’s Call Recorder, which allows you to record unlimited calls for FREE and get them transcribed at the regular price of $1 per minute.

If you’re outside of the U.S. and/or use Android

Consider downloading Rev’s Voice Recorder, which allows you to import your recordings from TapeACall and get them transcribed.

What is Rev Call Recorder?

Rev Call Recorder is a free, professional call recording app that records phone calls, giving you the option to transcribe them straight from the app. Once you’ve recorded your call, the app offers an integrated sharing option to instantly send your recordings to for transcription. This eliminates any need for saving, downloading and emailing audio files.

Rev’s call recorder is perfect for recording phone interviews, sharing call recordings, and reviewing conversations.

It’s perfect for recording phone interviews, sharing call recordings, and reviewing conversations. By using the app, you can focus on conversations rather than being distracted by taking notes during interviews, meetings and conference calls. By following the simple steps in this article, you can place a phone call transcription order with Rev in just a few clicks.

Record with TapeACall, But Order Transcripts From Rev

TapeACall is another app for both iPhone and Android that costs $10.99 per year. It offers a simple way to record incoming and outgoing phone calls, but no longer integrates with Rev for transcription. If you pay for a TapeACall subscription and still want to have your calls transcribed, you can export your recordings from TapeACall into the Rev Voice Recorder app to have them transcribed.

To get your recording from TapeACall into Rev Voice Recorder:

    1. Open the TapeACall app
    2. Select the recording
    3. Click on the share button on the bottom right
    4. Select ‘Share the Audio File’
    5. Click on ‘Copy to Recorder’ (you may have to scroll left to find the Rev Voice Recorder in the share menu)
    6. And that’s it! The Rev Voice Recorder will automatically open with the newly imported recording.
