… with a developing story, a deadly mass shooting at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Chris: (00:04)
Police say the shooter killed at least four people before turning the gun on himself. CBS News’ Elijah Westbrook is live in the newsroom this morning with the latest on this investigation. Elijah?

Elijah Westbrook: (00:13)
Chris and Mary, in addition to the four people who were killed, police say there could be up to 10 people wounded. We’re hearing some by gunfire, others in the panic to get out and police believe this was not a random attack.

Elijah Westbrook: (00:29)
Tulsa police say the gunman burst onto the second floor of a building next to St. Francis Hospital and began firing.

Speaker 4: (00:37)
Oh my God, he’s getting his rifle out of his trunk. They’re all getting their rifles and it’s in a medical building. They’re running in.

Elijah Westbrook: (00:44)
Police arrived on scene three minutes after the first 911 call and made their way inside.

Speaker 5: (00:50)
The officers that did arrive were hearing shots in the building and that’s what directed them to the second floor.

Elijah Westbrook: (00:56)
Police say as they were breaching the door on the second floor, they heard the shooting stop. They then found the suspect who they say had killed himself.

Speaker 5: (01:04)
We have confirmed he had one long gun, a rifle, and one handgun on the scene at the time.

Elijah Westbrook: (01:10)
Police say the gunman was going to the second floor for a reason, but they wouldn’t say why. The floor houses an outpatient surgery and breast health center. For those on the campus, they say it drew an instant reminder of last week’s school shooting in Uvalde, Texas and the supermarket shooting in Buffalo.

Speaker 6: (01:27)
It’s like, what’s going on with the world these days?

Speaker 7: (01:31)
[inaudible 00:01:31] a doctor’s office. You really can’t go nowhere no more without something happened. It’s just crazy.

Elijah Westbrook: (01:36)
Now this is an ongoing investigation. Police have not yet identified the gunman or the victims in this shooting. Chris?
