Fantastic Fest Taps Rev as the Official Accessibility Sponsor for 2021

Get ready for some really killer news — Rev is the official accessibility sponsor for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s 2021 Fantastic Fest!
Fantastic Fest is the largest genre film festival in the United States. Its programming features horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action, and otherwise fantastic movies from around the world. Hosted every September at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, TX, the festival provides an opportunity to showcase challenging and thought-provoking cinema while celebrating new voices, stories, and filmmakers.
To provide a COVID-safe experience, Fantastic Fest 2021 will take place in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual offerings. Rev will help provide closed captions for the virtual FF@HOME lineup to make the festival as safe and accessible as possible.
“With help from our friends at Rev.com, we’re going to be able to provide closed captions for the films and shorts playing virtually that can’t provide their own. That is a big step in the right direction and hopefully just the beginning,” said Ahbra Perry, Head of Alamo on Demand.
After serving as the official accessibility provider for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, Rev is thrilled to partner with another premier US film festival in Fantastic Fest.
The in-person part of Fantastic Fest will be held at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin from Sept. 23-30, 2021. If you’d prefer to sink your teeth into some cinema from the comfort of your living room, FF@HOME will run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 11.
