Vice President Mike Pence: (00:00)
Well, hello Michigan.

Vice President Mike Pence: (01:07)
Isn’t this a great crowd. Thank you all for coming out tonight. Our state part is here, Laura Cox. All of the wonderful Michiganders who are gathered here tonight from near and far, it is great to be back in the Wolverine state. And we are just six days away from a great victory all across Michigan and all across America, when we vote four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House.

Audience: (01:39)
Four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years-

Vice President Mike Pence: (01:55)
And the road to victory goes right through Michigan. On November 3rd, I got a favor to ask, we need you to show them that Michigan is Trump country.

Audience: (02:12)
Yeah!

Vice President Mike Pence: (02:16)
No really, it’s great to be here with all of you. Thank you so much for coming out. I can’t tell you how much it means to us, really does. The President’s in Arizona today. But I can’t wait to tell him about this crowd in Flint, Michigan. And it’s great to be here with so many friends, but also with a son of Midland, a man who served the people in the Wolverine state in the Michigan State House. From the moment he arrived in Washington, DC, I could tell you first hand, he has emerged as one of the strongest advocates, not just for Michigan, but for everything that has always made America great. Join me in thanking Congressman John Moolenaar.

Vice President Mike Pence: (03:10)
Thank you, Congressman. It’s also great to be here, I’m told, with a lifelong Democrat. He’s a leader here in Flint. And we got some good news again, that he is supporting President Donald Trump for four more years. Join me in thanking Maurice Davis, Vice President of the City Council in Flint. Where are you, Maurice? Let’s here it for Maurice. I’m partial to vice presidents. Thank you, Maurice. Thank you so much. And thank you all for being here today. And it really is amazing. It really is amazing to think about all that we’ve accomplished.

Audience: (03:22)
[inaudible 00:03:22] drink that.

Vice President Mike Pence: (03:22)
Love you.

Audience: (03:22)
In 2020, 24.

Vice President Mike Pence: (03:34)
Four years ago, we inherited a military that was hollowed out by devastating budget cuts, an economy that was struggling to break out of the slowest recovery since the Great Depression. Terrorism was on the rise around the world. And we witnessed a steady assault on our most cherished [inaudible 00:03:34]. But in three short years, we rebuilt our military, we revived our economy, we secured our border, supported law enforcement, and stood for life and liberty and the Constitution of the United States. Four years ago, here in Michigan, you believed we could be strong again. You believed we could be prosperous again. You said yes to President Donald Trump in 2016. And I’m here because we need Michigan to say yes to four more years of President Donald Trump in 2020.

Audience: (03:34)
Four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years, four more years-

Vice President Mike Pence: (05:37)
But think how far we’ve come because of the confidence that people of Michigan placed in this President. And it all start with our national defense, always. It’s the first obligation of the national government, is to provide for the common defense. And under the last administration when Joe Biden was Vice President, we saw years of reckless budget cuts that hollowed out our military. [crosstalk 00:05:37] And there’s reports in the news, even today, the Democrats in the House and Senate are actually promising to make massive cuts in defense spending to fuel their big government plans. It’s incredible, but I’m proud to report to you as your Vice President, but as the proud father of a United States Marine that we are finally giving our soldiers, sailors, airman, Marines, and Coast Guard, the resources and the support that they need to defend this nation. President Donald Trump has signed the largest increase in our national defense, since the days of Ronald Reagan.

Vice President Mike Pence: (06:21)
But it’s not just been about supporting those who serve and their families, it’s also been about standing with all courageous men and women that put on the uniform of the United States. In fact, I expect, knowing what a great patriot state this, if you wore the uniform of our armed forces, would you just put your hand in the air and let me say thank you one more time for your service. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your service to this country. God bless you all.

Vice President Mike Pence: (06:52)
As you all remember, especially our veterans, Joe Biden was Vice President, we saw years of scandal at the VA. Didn’t we?

Audience: (06:59)
Weepy Joe.

Vice President Mike Pence: (06:59)
It shocked the conscious of our nation. We literally had veterans in this country, who were dying, waiting to get care at VA hospitals. But under President Donald Trump, we signed the most sweeping reforms of the VA in 50 years. We fired 3000 VA employees that weren’t giving our veterans the care that you earned in the uniform. And Veterans Choice is now available for every veteran in America.

Audience: (07:31)
USA, USA.

Vice President Mike Pence: (07:31)
Support for our national defense, support for our veterans is just one more reason why we need Michigan to send a West Point grad, an Army combat veteran, and a man of leadership and quality to the United States Senate, we need Michigan to send John James to the US Senate.

Vice President Mike Pence: (08:07)
An on the economy, it’s amazing to think what we accomplished in those first three years. After Joe Biden and the last administration tried to tax and spend and regulate us back to a growing economy, President Donald Trump created the greatest economy in American history. It’s true. And now, in the midst of a global pandemic, Joe Biden wants to raise taxes by four trillion dollars.

Audience: (08:34)
Boo.

Vice President Mike Pence: (08:39)
[crosstalk 00:08:39] And he’s got this two trillion dollar green new deal.

Audience: (08:45)
Boo.

Vice President Mike Pence: (08:45)
That the President had to remind him on that first presidential debate, remember. He must have forgot he was for it. President Trump, by contrast, we cut taxes across the board for working families and businesses. We roll back more federal red tape than any administration in history. We fought for free and fair trade. We unleashed American energy. And in three short years, business has created more than seven million good paying jobs, including 112000 right here in the state of Michigan. And wages were rising across the boar in the first three years. And what meant the most to the President and me is that wages were rising most rapidly for hard working blue collar Americans, the forgotten men and women of America were forgotten no more.

Vice President Mike Pence: (09:44)
When Joe Biden was Vice President, America actually loss 200000 manufacturing jobs.

Audience: (09:54)
Boo. [inaudible 00:09:57] Biden-

Vice President Mike Pence: (09:57)
[crosstalk 00:09:57] I’m from just south of here, in the Hoosier state. And just like Michigan… thank you for that. We don’t get that often in football season. [crosstalk 00:10:15] But Indiana and Michigan are very much alike. We do two things really well. We make things and we grow things. Right? And we market them to the world. The last administration literally said after losing 200000 manufacturing jobs, they actually said those jobs are never coming back. The elites on the East coast and on the left coast often talked about our part of the country as the Rust belt. And there was a fair amount of rust on it when they were in charge. The last President actually said, when he was confronted with losing all those manufacturing, he said, “What magic wand do you have?”

Audience: (10:48)
He’s wrong.

Vice President Mike Pence: (10:51)
We didn’t need a magic wand. We just needed President Donald Trump in the White House. 500000 manufacturing jobs created in our first three years, including 17000 right here in the Wolverine state. Manufacturing came roaring back, really did with less taxes, less regulation, fighting for free and fair trade that put American jobs and American workers first. And here not to far from Motor City, the automotive industry is roaring back in Michigan and all across America. Right here, General Motors announced there adding 400 jobs in Oakland county. [inaudible 00:11:38] Chrysler is already building a 1.6 billion dollar new assembly plant that’ll create more than 6000 jobs in Detroit. And maybe best of all, last year, GM announced that they’re investing 150 million dollars in their assembly plant right here in Flint, Michigan.

Vice President Mike Pence: (11:55)
And that’s all the result of cutting those taxes and rolling back red taped, but it also has to do with trade. When we took office, half of our international trade deficit was with Communist China. It’s true. 500 billion dollars a year, we were losing in trade [crosstalk 00:12:30] with China. And Joe Biden, he’s been a cheerleader for Communist China all along the way. He’s said that the rise of China was a positive development.

Audience: (12:33)
It wasn’t true.

Vice President Mike Pence: (12:33)
He did.

Audience: (12:33)
[crosstalk 00:12:33] We want Biden.

Vice President Mike Pence: (12:39)
And he also scoffed last year, as a candidate, at the very idea that China was competition to the United States. But President Donald Trump, he put China on notice. We said the era of economic surrender is over. We imposed tariffs on China’s goods into the United States, and we’re going to keep standing strong until they open their

Vice President Mike Pence: (13:03)
And we’re going to keep standing strong until they open their markets to US goods and US agriculture and respect private property rights of Americans.

Vice President Mike Pence: (13:14)
And you all remember NAFTA, out here in the Heartland. In the 25 years after NAFTA was signed into law, we literally saw, you have to almost check this, because it doesn’t even sound right, 60,000 factories close in the United States. And many of those jobs went south of the border to Mexico or far overseas.

Vice President Mike Pence: (13:40)
Now, Democrats, for years, like Joe Biden, love to complain about NAFTA. But Joe Biden never lifted a finger to reform it or to fix what was wrong with it. But after Michigan voted for the man who wrote The Art of the Deal, Michigan and America got a way better deal. NAFTA is gone, and the USMCA is here to stay.

Vice President Mike Pence: (14:12)
The USMCA, I don’t know if you knew about this, under NAFTA, there were these… It might have been unintentional, I don’t even know. I wasn’t around back then. But there was kind of these perverse incentives to actually move manufacturing out of the country.

Vice President Mike Pence: (14:31)
But under the USMCA, 75% of all auto parts in duty free cars have to be made in North America, and 40% of the parts have to be made by workers who make the average hourly wage of workers in the United States of America. We have taken the incentive away to move jobs out of the United States. It’s a win for workers in Michigan, and a win for workers all across America. It is.

Audience: (15:08)
Four more years! Four more years! [inaudible 00:15:09]. Four more years! Four more years!

Vice President Mike Pence: (15:08)
I’m with her.

Audience: (15:08)
Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! [crosstalk 00:15:09].

Vice President Mike Pence: (15:08)
I’m not surprised a lady wearing a UAW sweatshirt started cheering for the USMCA. I’ll tell you what. It’s a win for auto workers, and you know it. Thank you.

Vice President Mike Pence: (15:31)
Now, you all in Michigan deserve to know that Kamala Harris was one of only 10 senators to vote against the USMCA. She and I had a little bit of a debate over in Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago. Thank you.

Vice President Mike Pence: (15:41)
And I tried to call her out on a lot of issues, but the truth is, she said she voted against one of… There’s only 10 senators who voted against it. 90 senators in Washington don’t agree on anything, but they did on the USMCA.

Vice President Mike Pence: (16:05)
But Kamala Harris, who was rated last year as the most liberal member of the United States Senate, actually voted against the USMCA because she said it didn’t go far enough on climate change. You all deserve to know here in Michigan that Joe Biden’s running mate put her radical environmental agenda ahead of Michigan jobs and Michigan auto workers. But I promise you, under President Donald Trump, we are always going to put American jobs and American workers first.

Vice President Mike Pence: (16:39)
And then, you’ve got energy, plays such an important role, drives prosperity in Michigan, all across the Heartland and this country. And I know you’ve heard it. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, over the last year, have repeatedly said that they want to ban fracking and abolish fossil fuels. Joe Biden actually said in a presidential debate the other night… And how good was President Trump in that presidential debate? Am I right? That was a great night, wasn’t it?

Vice President Mike Pence: (17:15)
But anyway, Joe Biden. You get to the end of the debate, about 90 minutes, if you’re still up, and they start talking about energy. And Joe Biden actually, he actually said that America needs to transition from the oil industry. The president just said, “That’s a big statement.” And boy, was it.

Vice President Mike Pence: (17:51)
According to a 2017 study by a non-political group, the oil and gas industry supports 160,000 jobs right here in Michigan. And they want… They’re talking about whatever they’re saying right now. Honestly, Joe Biden said, “Show the tape.” So we’ve been showing the tape. Pretty easy to find. Just get your phone out and look at it.

Vice President Mike Pence: (18:22)
They’re going to ban fracking. They want to abolish fossil fuels. But President Donald Trump has been a champion for American energy and American energy independence. We’ve developed all the resources of our land, and America is a net exporter of energy for the first time in 70 years.

Vice President Mike Pence: (18:43)
When it comes to jobs and trade and energy, President Trump will always put Michigan and America first. But on this economy, honestly, at six days to go, men and women of Michigan, we’ve got a choice to make, and this state’ll play an outsize role in deciding this election. Make no mistake about it.

Audience: (19:15)
We’ve got your back. [inaudible 00:19:15] Trump! Four more years!

Vice President Mike Pence: (19:15)
Thank you.

Audience: (19:15)
Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!

Vice President Mike Pence: (19:15)
Here’s the choice, and I know you’ve got my back. We’ve just got to make sure Michigan comes through.

Audience: (19:15)
You’ll be the next president. Yeah.

Vice President Mike Pence: (19:39)
Let me tell you something. The choice in this election is real simple. The president says it often. When you look at our agenda of less taxes, less regulation, free and fair trade, American energy independence, and you look at their more taxes, more regulation, economic surrender on trade, less American energy, it’s clear. This election is a choice between a Trump recovery and a Biden depression. It’s true.

Vice President Mike Pence: (20:09)
A non-partisan study just came out last week that said that Joe Biden’s economic policies would cost five million American jobs and that the average American family would lose $6,500 a year in income.

Vice President Mike Pence: (20:26)
In all the six days that remain, I want you to reach out to neighbors and friends here in Flint and all across the state. I want you to say, “I was standing out in the cold. Mike Pence showed up. And he told me to ask one question.”

Vice President Mike Pence: (20:49)
Here’s the question you’ve got to ask. Here. Really. Just find somebody who knows you, and they haven’t made a decision yet, and just look at them and say, “Who do you really think can bring this American economy all the way back?”

Audience: (20:55)
[inaudible 00:20:55] Trump, baby!

Vice President Mike Pence: (20:57)
A career politician with 47 years in Washington, raising taxes, stifling the economy, waving a white flag of economic surrender on trade, or a proven job creator that’ll keep cutting taxes, fighting for American jobs and American workers?

Vice President Mike Pence: (21:18)
For a great American comeback in Michigan and across this nation, we need four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House.

Audience: (21:41)
Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!

Vice President Mike Pence: (21:43)
It’s about our security. It’s about our prosperity. But here at home, it’s also about the rule of law. And I couldn’t be more proud to be vice president to a president who stands every day with the men and women who serve on the thin blue line of law enforcement.

Audience: (21:57)
Blue lives matter.

Vice President Mike Pence: (21:58)
President Trump and I know what you know. Men and women who put on the uniform of law enforcement every day are some of the best people in this country, and they deserve the respect of every American, every day.

Vice President Mike Pence: (22:17)
Now, the president and I will always support the right of peaceful protest. It’s enshrined in our Constitution. But rioting and looting like we saw last night in Philadelphia is not peaceful protest. Burning businesses is not free speech.

Audience: (22:42)
No!

Vice President Mike Pence: (22:45)
For months, remember, all summer long, all Joe Biden talked about was peaceful protesters, never condemning people that were literally burning businesses to the ground.

Vice President Mike Pence: (22:56)
I was in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago, and I met an incredible African American woman named [Flora Westboro 00:22:56]. Flora started a little salon in Minneapolis 35 years ago, built it up with her sister. She told me of the day, a couple days after the killing of George Floyd, how she saw the violent protesters coming closer and closer and closer to her little salon, ’til they burned it to the ground.

Vice President Mike Pence: (23:24)
The truth is, Joe Biden would double down on the policies that have led to violence in our cities. When you refuse to condemn those that perpetrate violence against our families and our communities, when you start to withdraw support from those who protect and serve, you only embolden those who are tearing our communities asunder.

Vice President Mike Pence: (23:58)
Now, Joe Biden explains it all by saying he thinks America is systemically racist and that he and Kamala Harris actually believe… Joe Biden and Kamala Harris regularly say that they believe police have an implicit bias against minorities. When he was asked if he’d cut funding for law enforcement, Joe Biden actually said, “Yes. Absolutely.”

Vice President Mike Pence: (24:31)
But under President Donald Trump, I’ll make you a promise. We’re not going to defund the police, not now, not ever. We’re going to back the blue, and we’re going to back the blue for four more years.

Vice President Mike Pence: (24:38)
You and I know. The president knows. We don’t have to choose between supporting law enforcement and supporting our African American neighbors and friends and other minorities and families that live in our major cities. For the last three and a half years, we’ve done both, and we’ll keep doing both for four more years.

Vice President Mike Pence: (25:05)
Under this president, we funded more than 4,000 new police officers through the COPS program. When violence was taking over in major cities this summer, we launched Operation Legend, and we’ve arrested more than 2,500 violent offenders, working with local law enforcement.

Vice President Mike Pence: (25:22)
And at the very same time, I couldn’t be more proud that under our administration, we saw the lowest unemployment ever recorded for African Americans, the highest funding for historically black colleges and universities. We supported educational choice for families and 8,000 opportunity zones that are creating jobs in inner cities, including the opportunity zone right here in Flint, Michigan. We’re going to support law enforcement. We’re going to support our minority communities. And we’re going to have law and order in every ci-

Vice President Mike Pence: (26:03)
… communities, and we’re going to have law and order in ever city, in every state in America for every one of us of every race and creed and color, so help us God.

Vice President Mike Pence: (26:10)
And in support of the rule of law, I’m proud to report to all the great Michiganders gathered here. As we stand here today, President Trump has actually appointed more than 220 conservatives to our Federal courts, and they are all men and women who will uphold the God-given liberties enshrined in our Constitution like the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech, and the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. 220 Federal judges, three Supreme Court justices. Justice Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Isn’t she great?

Audience: (27:04)
ACB, ACB, ACB, ACB, ACB, ACB!

Vice President Mike Pence: (27:04)
What a brilliant jurist and incredible person, who just happens to be from Indiana. I couldn’t be more proud of her. And we think it’s altogether fitting that she now occupies the seat of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg because the truth is, Justice Ginsburg was a trailblazer for women. She was. Women in the law in this country, she inspired generations of women to step forward. And I know that the incredible character and life story and jurisprudence of Justice Amy Coney Barrett will inspire a new generation of young women to study the law.

Vice President Mike Pence: (27:59)
In fact, let me just say as a point of parental pride, one of those young women is with me on this trip. She’s my youngest. She just graduated from law school, and she is part of that rising generation of young, incredible women who’s going to do great things, my daughter, Audrey Pence, everybody.

Vice President Mike Pence: (28:25)
You know, when you think about the courts and all that we’ve been able to accomplish, it’s been because of the strong support we got from the people of Michigan. It’s been because you have a President that kept his word to appoint principled jurists to our court to uphold our Constitution, and it’s one more reason why we need to send John James to a renewed Republican majority in the United States Senate. It’s just that important. Because really, it’s about our liberties, everybody.

Vice President Mike Pence: (29:15)
Here in Michigan, you deserve to know when Joe Biden was Vice President, we saw a steady assault on the religious freedom of Americans. The last Administration actually hauled a group of nuns into Federal court to force them to compromise their faith and live under the mandates of Obamacare.

Audience: (29:28)
What a disaster.

Vice President Mike Pence: (29:33)
And not long ago, when Judge Barrett was going through her confirmation two years ago, the leading Democrat on the Judiciary Committee expressed the same religious intolerance that we’ve seen from so many in their party. She said she was concerned about Judge Barrett because of her devout Catholic faith. She said, and I quote, “The dogma lives loudly within you.” And Hollywood elites stated attacking Judge Barrett and they’ve never stopped.

Vice President Mike Pence: (30:07)
Well, I’ve got a message for the Democrats in Washington and their friends in Hollywood. That dogma lives loudly in me. That dogma lives loudly in you. And the right to live and work and worship according to the dictates of our faith lives loudly in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Vice President Mike Pence: (30:30)
Under President Trump, we’ve not only appointed men and women to our courts to uphold our religious freedom, but we restored the conscience rights of doctors and nurses, religious charities, and organizations. And it was President Donald Trump who ended the legal assault on the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Supreme Court made it permanent. President Donald Trump has stood for the freedom of religion of every American of every faith, and we’re going to do it for four more years.

Vice President Mike Pence: (31:16)
And finally, where Joe Biden and Kamala Harris support taxpayer funding of abortion all the way up to the moment of birth, I couldn’t be more proud to serve alongside a President who stands without apology for the sanctity of human life.

Vice President Mike Pence: (31:46)
So an amazing first three years because of the support of the people of Michigan in 2016. We rebuilt our military. We revived our economy. We stood for law and order, liberties, and life. And none of that would have been possible without the strong and consistent support of Michigan’s Republican delegation to Congress. So I’ve got a favor to ask. Right after you reelect President Donald Trump and send John James to the United States Senate, we need you to send Congressman John Moolenaar to a new Republican majority in the House of Representatives and retire Nancy Pelosi once and for all.

Vice President Mike Pence: (32:18)
Out.

Audience: (32:18)
Out. Throw her out.

Vice President Mike Pence: (32:39)
You know, when you look at what we were able to accomplish in those first three years, the first few of which we had a Republican House and a Republican Senate, there’s only one way you can describe it. In three short years, we made America great again.

Vice President Mike Pence: (32:55)
And then 2020 arrived, and the Coronavirus struck from China. But before the very first case of community transmission anywhere in America, President Trump did what no American had ever done in the history of this country. He suspended all travel from China, the second largest economy in the world. President Trump put the health of America first.

Vice President Mike Pence: (33:28)
Now Joe Biden said it was xenophobic. He literally wrote a few days before the President’s action that banning travel during a global pandemic would make things worse. But Joe Biden got it wrong and President Trump got it right. The truth is, the President’s decision at the outset saved untold American lives because it bought us invaluable time to stand up the greatest national mobilization since World War II.

Vice President Mike Pence: (34:08)
We reinvented testing. We saw to the manufacture all across the heartland of billions of supplies of personal protective equipment, ventilators, and the like. No American that’s required a ventilator has ever been denied a ventilator. No one who’s ever required an ICU bed was ever denied an ICU bed. We started at record speed to develop medicines, therapeutics that are saving lives today. And before the end of this year, we believe we believe we will have tens of millions of doses of the first Coronavirus vaccine in the world.

Vice President Mike Pence: (34:42)
I must tell you, until that day comes that we put this pandemic in the past with a safe and effective vaccine, we’re going to keep moving heaven and earth to make sure that our doctors and nurses all across the country have the resources and the support they need to give anyone that’s struggled in this pandemic the level of healthcare that we’d want a family member to have. I promise you that.

Vice President Mike Pence: (35:12)
We’re going to keep protecting the vulnerable. We’re going to keep saving lives. And while Joe Biden’s talking about shutting down our country, we are opening up America again.

Vice President Mike Pence: (35:27)
I mean, it’s amazing to think, amazing to think on that foundation that the President poured those first three years, and with the unprecedented support that Congressman John Moolenaar helped to provide direct payments to families, direct payments to business to keep nearly 50 million Americans on the payroll of small business. After we lost 22 million jobs at the height of this pandemic, we’ve already seen 11 1/2 million people go back to work in the last five months including 600,000 people right here in Michigan. We are opening up America again.

Vice President Mike Pence: (36:13)
So we’ve gone through a time of testing, but I know you came out on this cold night because you know six days from now we’re coming to a time for choosing. The choice in this election has never been clearer. The stakes have never been higher. When you look at their agenda, higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, the Green New Deal, it’s clear.

Audience: (36:45)
We love you Pence!

Vice President Mike Pence: (36:46)
I love that guy.

Audience: (36:59)
I love you too!

Vice President Mike Pence: (36:59)
It’s true.

Audience: (36:59)
Pence 2024.

Vice President Mike Pence: (37:13)
Look, Joe Biden’s just going to be a Trojan horse for the radical left. And his running mate Kamala Harris, I said she was more liberal than Bernie Sanders in the last year in the Senate. Now Joe Biden says that democracy is on the ballot. Well, I think our economic recovery is on the ballot. I think law and order are on the ballot. But I also believe there are things more foundational to our country that are on the ballot.

Vice President Mike Pence: (37:35)
In this election, I think it’s not going to be so much whether America ends up more Democrat or more Republican, more liberal or more conservative, more red or more blue. I think the choice in this election is whether America remains America. It’s whether we’re going to chart a course for our children and our grandchildren with a renewed commitment to freedom, patriotism, family, faith, and all the principles that have made this country great, or whether we’re going to let Joe Biden and the radical left turn our nation toward an inevitable path of less freedom, socialism, and American decline.

Audience: (38:20)
Law and order!

Vice President Mike Pence: (38:25)
So for our freedom and for all the ideals that have always made America great, Michigan, we need to decide right here and right now, that Joe Biden will never be President of the United States. We’re going to reelect President Donald Trump for four more years.

Audience: (39:00)
Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!

Vice President Mike Pence: (39:00)
You know, four years ago when the President called me and asked me to join this ticket, I-

Vice President Mike Pence: (39:00)
… years ago when the president called me and asked me to join this ticket, I said yes in a heartbeat. Because I knew in the time that we spent together, I knew that he had the vision, and he had the leadership qualities that could bring this country back, and make this country great again.

Vice President Mike Pence: (39:23)
And let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Some people think we’re a little bit different.

Speaker 1: (39:24)
We like different.

Vice President Mike Pence: (39:34)
But we’ve gotten to be very close friends. When we’re at the White House, we’re together for hours a day over the last three and a half years, and when we’re traveling different places, we speak every day, just like we did this morning. And let me tell you firsthand. I’ve seen our president when the cameras are off and when the bright lights are off. And I want to tell you. Over the last four years, there has never been a day gone by, against unrelenting resistance and opposition by the Democrats in Washington, against unfair and unrelenting attacks by their allies in the national media, there has never been a day gone by that I haven’t seen this president get up and fight to keep the promises that he made to the people of Michigan. Now it’s our turn to fight for him. It’s on, Michigan.

Vice President Mike Pence: (40:47)
It’s time. And so I got a few things I got to ask you to do, and then I got a plane to catch.

Vice President Mike Pence: (40:54)
First and foremost, I already checked on the way here. Early voting has already started, right John?

John: (41:00)
Here we go.

Vice President Mike Pence: (41:02)
Laura. So first, on behalf of the president, I want to ask you. We need you to vote, Michigan, vote to reelect President Donald Trump to the White House.

Vice President Mike Pence: (41:25)
You take advantage of that early voting. My wife and I just voted down in Indianapolis a couple days ago. The president did down in Florida. You need to go get it done. And you can vote absentee, I’m told. I checked. City clerk’s office. 1101 South Saginaw Street. Open 8:00-5:00. Suite 201C. And remember, friends don’t let friends vote alone. Bring a neighbor. Bring a family member. Bring a friend and vote to reelect President Donald Trump to the White House.

Vice President Mike Pence: (42:14)
Just get it done. Just get it done tomorrow. First thing. Secondly, secondly, after you vote, with a friend, I want you to go tell somebody all that we’ve accomplished under this president’s leadership, and the choice that we face in this election. I mean I really believe with all my heart this is one of the most important elections ever in the life of this nation. It really is a moment where we’re going to decide for our children and our grandchildren not just who’ll be in the White House the next four years-

Speaker 2: (42:38)
Next 12 years.

Vice President Mike Pence: (42:38)
… but what kind of nation they’re going to live in.

Vice President Mike Pence: (42:38)
You know, the president and I were on 60 Minutes the other night.

Vice President Mike Pence: (42:38)
There was a moment, I have to tell you, that I just really enjoyed. It was when the reporter looked at the president. And she asked him, “How would you describe your supporters?”

Speaker 3: (43:31)
We love them.

Vice President Mike Pence: (43:37)
And the president, without a moment’s hesitation, gave an answer I’ll never forget. She said, “How would you describe your supporters?” And he said, “They are people who love our country.” So go tell your neighbors and friends that we have a president who loves this country and who is going to continue to fight to put America first. Just go tell them.

Crowd: (43:52)
USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA.

Vice President Mike Pence: (44:15)
You know, I ask you to do that, because I really do believe that history making election in 2016 here in Michigan, all across the country, it was proof positive that the most powerful media in this country is not your television networks, it’s not your newspapers, it’s not your social media. The most powerful media in this country is word of mouth. It’s when the American people are talking to each other. And when someone who knows you and respects you hears from you about an issue that’s important enough, I’m just saying to you on behalf of Laura Cox, on behalf of the congressman, on behalf of the president, myself, just take some time to reach out to your neighbors and friends. Just tell them, “I ran into Mike out at the airport, and he talked for like an hour just trying to summarize everything we’ve done.” The choice that we face. And what we’re going to do to make this country great again for four more years with President Donald Trump in the White House. You go tell them.

Vice President Mike Pence: (45:50)
And lastly, in these challenging times in which we live, if you’re of a mind to available yourself of that wellspring of strength that has always seen our nation through much more difficult times, I’d encourage you to do that too. I’ve traveled around this country over the last four years, and two things I’m convinced of. This is a freedom loving nation. And this is a nation of faith. I mean, everywhere the president and I go, it’s without fail, people will reach across the line and lower their voice a little bit and just say, “I’m praying for you.”

Speaker 5: (46:22)
Yes.

Vice President Mike Pence: (46:24)
And we hear it all the time. So if you’re inclined to bow the head and bend the knee from time to time, it’s the last thing I’d ask you to do.

Speaker 6: (46:28)
Pray right now. Pray right now. Let’s pray right now.

Vice President Mike Pence: (46:28)
Just consider doing that in the next six days. And when you pray, pray with confidence.

Speaker 6: (46:28)
Pray right now. Pray right now.

Vice President Mike Pence: (46:46)
In those ancient words that Americans have clung to through much more challenging times than even we could possibly imagine. That if his people, who are called by his name will humble themselves and pray and turn, that he’ll do like he’s always done.

Vice President Mike Pence: (47:05)
In the long and storied history of this great nation.

Vice President Mike Pence: (47:07)
He’ll hear from heaven, and he’ll heal this land. This one nation, under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. So pray for America. Pray for all the American people. It’ll make a difference, I promise you.

Vice President Mike Pence: (47:34)
And with that, I’m going to let you get back somewhere warm tonight, but I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for coming out tonight. Thank you for supporting our president, and this entire team. And I leave here today with renewed confidence, that if all of us do all that we need to do over the next six days, all across the great state of Michigan, all across America, we’re going to have a great victory. Here in Michigan and all across America. And with John James in a renewed Republican majority in the United States Senate, with Congressman John Molinar in a new Republican majority in the House, with President Donald Trump in the White House for four more years, and with god’s help, I’ll tell you, Michigan, I just know we will make America great again, again.

Vice President Mike Pence: (48:43)
Thank you all very much. God bless you, god bless America. Now let’s go get it done, Michigan.
