Pedro Pascal (00:00):

I’m going to take these to bed with me. I want to say thank you MTV Movie and TV Awards. I am a child of MTV. I grew up on MTV, so this means the absolute world to me. The people at MTV told me that 77.5 million people voted this year, which blows my mind and just makes it such an honor. I wish we could all be together so that I could look into your eyes and tell you that all the young people in the world are my heroes, and I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. I want to say that you deserve a world that serves your interests. You deserve to be healthy. You deserve to be safe. You deserve for your individual rights to be fought for and protected. You deserve real heroes in this world because you are real heroes to me, and I love you. Thank you. Thank you.

Joseph Quinn (01:07):

Hello, everyone. Hope you’re all well, having a nice time. Sorry I can’t be there. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to vote for me, that is a very sweet thing. I think the fact that these awards are voted for by the fans makes this feel especially sweet as I owe a lot to you all. I’ve had some amazing experiences over the last year, none of which would’ve happened without your support, so I am incredibly grateful for you. I’m a little bit scared of you, but ultimately I am utterly, utterly indebted to you, so thank you. I don’t think that people would connect with a character like Eddie or others in the Stranger Things universe without compassionate, intelligent, quality writing. Being a writer is a hard job and it deserves respect. I think the more that we respect each other, we can cultivate a kinder, more inclusive, more collaborative environment for everyone. Wouldn’t that be nice? Thanks again to everyone who voted. I’m very, very, very appreciative. Thank you.

Sophia Carson (02:09):

Thank you, thank you, thank you. A million times over for making Come Back Home your Best Musical Moment. My heart is so filled with gratitude. To my fans, you are my family and this belongs to you. This is yours. Thank you for loving my Cassie, for loving this film, and for loving this song as deeply and as beautiful as you do. I had the honor of actually filming this musical moment in the presence of fans that traveled from all across the country to be there with me.

(02:39)
My heart belongs to you, and you have forever turned it into a beautiful shade of purple. To my director Liz, and to my co-producers Les and Elysa, I will never have enough words. To my incredible co songwriters, Justin, Skye, Dan, Iran. Writing this song and soundtrack was one of the scariest yet most beautiful experiences and journeys of my life. I poured my heart into this music and as we wrote, “Let my fears show until I could face them, and let my tears flow until I can taste them.” To my Netflix family, thank you for believing in this film. To the writers of our film, Liz and Kyle, we have nothing without you. Thank you for your magic and most of all to my Ma and my [inaudible 00:03:23], everything begins and ends with you. Thank you, MTV. I will cherish this forever. My purple heart is yours.

Jennifer Coolidge (03:32):

Thank you. Thank you MTV. Thank you for honoring me with this incredible comedic genius award. Wow. Wow. It’s even more special, because I was in the Groundings with the Melissa McCarthy and Will Ferrell, and so now I get to be in the club with them, and Sasha Baron Cohen, and Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. My God, what a fun night. I’m sure you know this, well, actually, you probably don’t. But the reason why I’m so thrilled, it’s just ironic that this award would be made of my favorite food popcorn. Almost all great comedy starts with great writers, and I just think that as a proud member of SAG, I stand here before you tonight, side by side with my sisters and brothers from the WGA that are fighting right now, fighting for the rights of artists everywhere. I think of the words of Shakespeare where he once said, “The play is the thing.” Well, I don’t want to put words in his mouth or anything, but I think what he really meant was it’s everything.

Pedro Pascal (05:08):

Bella, if you want your Gold Popcorn, you have to come and get it, that way I can see you again. I miss you. I love you. You are the duo, you are me, I am you. We are we and we love MTV, and thank you MTV Movie and TV Awards. Thank you to the fans. Gosh, it feels like there isn’t anything we wouldn’t do for you, because of how much you’ve embraced the show and I wish Bella and I were together, but we will be soon, so stay tuned. Thank you. We love you.

Bella Ramsey (05:56):

Hello MTV Awards. That was a weird wave. It’s Bella. I don’t know what to say, really. It’s probably a good job that I’m not there tonight because this is bad enough to having to record a video because I don’t really know what to say, other than thank you, which I guess is all I need to say, really. Right? Thank you for having us, me and Pedro as your best duo, even though we’re not actually there. I’m really sorry about that. But thank you for having us and for all the fans who voted for us, and who love the show and continue to support us and support the show, it really means the world. Me and Pedro love each other deeply. I love him and I couldn’t imagine doing this without him. Thank you for your love and we love you back and have a lovely evening. Goodbye.

Drew Barrymore (06:41):

Hello. Hello. Thank you so much. I can’t believe this. Thank you for letting me in. Get eyeball to eyeball. Thank you for this whole show, this whole world being… Thank you and thank you so much. Oh my goodness. Okay. Also, I want to thank Chelsea White, Cristina Kinon, and Liz Coe, our amazing, amazing writers. This is definitely for them and every single person who makes this show, there’s no I in mine, just ours and we. Thank you from us and me. Okay.

Speaker 6 (07:26):

Oh my God, thank you so much to the over 77.5 million of you who voted for us to win the Golden Popcorn for best competition show. Listen, RuPaul’s Drag Race continues to give life to and tell the story of so many queer people and queer people of color, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Speaker 7 (07:42):

For the first time, All Stars Season seven featured a cast of all winners competing together and it was record-breaking in more ways than one. At this time, it’s so important to hear queer and trans stories from queer and trans people to meet the artists behind the artistry, and see the human beings there so we can have empathy for one another and halt these blatantly bigoted, anti-queer, anti-trans legislations.

Speaker 8 (08:12):

Y’all, in response to these threats against drag performers all across the world and especially here, the Drag Defense Fund was created by World of Wonder, MTV, and RuPaul’s Drag Race to help support the ACLU’S work to defend and ensure LGBTQ+ rights all across the lands, honey. Period.

Speaker 9 (08:32):

It’s more important now than ever, so thank you. We want to thank World of Wonder, MTV, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and the crew as well as the fans, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Speaker 7 (08:45):

As drag queens and independent artists, we know how important it is to advocate for yourself and your worth, and that’s why we queens stand with the writers in their strike.

Speaker 6 (08:58):

Absolutely.

Speaker 8 (08:59):

Agreed.

Speaker 9 (09:00):

Thank you everybody.

Speaker 7 (09:01):

Thank you all.

Speaker 8 (09:02):

Thanks, y’all.

Speaker 6 (09:03):

We got a popcorn, y’all. We got a golden popcorn. This is everything.

Ghostface (09:07):

Here’s a twist you didn’t see coming. The villain comes out on top. To all the fans who voted, you finally answered my question. What’s your favorite scary movie?

Katie Maloney (09:22):

Wow.

Ariana Madix (09:27):

I’m so excited. We did it.

Katie Maloney (09:28):

Best Onscreen Team. Thank you so much MTV, and especially to everyone that voted for us.

Scheana Shay (09:34):

Yeah, and the team isn’t just us. We have an entire production team behind us that makes this show possible and this is so exciting. We won Best Team, all because of you guys, the fans. Thank you so much for voting.

Ariana Madix (09:52):

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We’ve been through so many ups and downs as friends, and obviously it’s a very tumultuous time in all of our lives, but we are truly at our best when we come together as a team, so thank you.

Katie Maloney (10:05):

Thank you so much.

Scheana Shay (10:05):

We did it.

Lala Kent (10:09):

Hello, my loves. Thank you all for voting for me and my most favorite girls, Scheana, Katie, Ariana. We are beyond grateful. This is crazy. Again, thank you guys so much.

Jennifer Coolidge (10:23):

Oh my gosh. Another popcorn. Geez. Thank you. Oh my God, this is for Most Frightening Death. Thank you. I hope this is the last time though, that I ever die on a show.

(10:50)
I would like to stay alive.

Tom Cruise (10:59):

Hello, everyone, thank you so much for this award. I make these films for you. I love you. I love entertaining you. To know how much you enjoy it, how much you appreciate it, there’s just no better feeling. I hope you enjoy Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One. It’ll be coming out July, it is a wild ride. You have a wonderful summer. Thank you again for letting me entertain you, it’s an absolute privilege. We’ll see you at the movies.

Pedro Pascal (11:40):

Thank you MTV Movie and TV Awards. I am accepting these Golden Popcorns on behalf of the Last of Us show creators, Craig Mazin, and Neil Druckmann, and our entire amazing cast and crew from the US and from Canada, who worked tirelessly and passionately to make the show. They made it a family experience, one of the best experiences of my life. Craig and Neil can’t be here. We are all thanking HBO and [inaudible 00:12:20] and standing in solidarity with the WGA that is fighting very hard for fair wages. We thank you. We love you. I’m going to take these to bed with me.

Ghostface (12:36):

Hello MTV. It’s about time someone truly appreciated my work. Too bad Gale couldn’t be here tonight, but don’t worry, I’ll make sure she gets what she deserves. You know what they say in Hollywood, “Movies don’t create psychos. Movies make psychos more creative,” and I’m looking forward to a lot more creativity.
