Rev’s Video Acceptance Guarantee on iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, and Google Play
If you’re looking to get your videos captioned for hosting on Amazon, Hulu, or other platforms, our video acceptance guarantee can help.
It’s the video producer’s dream: seeing their film on the big screen. But what about seeing it on someone’s laptop screen?
There’s a lot to be said for getting a movie in front of the millions of viewers who stream video content online. Streaming services like iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, and Google Play continue to grow in popularity, making them that much more appealing as video platforms.
Not only are they an excellent way to get your content in front of more people, but they are also far more accessible than movie screens.
Rev’s Video Acceptance Guarantee
If you’re a filmmaker or media creator looking to get your content hosted on major video platforms, we offer a Video Acceptance Guarantee for all caption work that we do.
Meaning, if you order captions from Rev, we guarantee that the captions file we produce will not keep your video from being accepted on premium platforms. Right now, this applies to the following platforms: iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, Google Play, YouTube, Facebook, and Vimeo.
If a Rev caption file is rejected, send us the rejection reasons and we’ll fix the file within 48 hours. We understand that producers are often on a tight timeline, hence the 48 hour promise.
We also understand that premium video hosting platforms have specific delivery format requirements for captions and video.
These are some of the common reasons caption files get rejected:
- It does not meet WPM (words per minute) standards. If a film has people who are talking really fast, you don’t want the captions to flash on the screen too quickly. This is a tough issue to solve for because, a lot of times, the only fix is to edit the captions down for readability. Under our guarantee, if we have files with WPM issues, we will fix them.
- The captions are not accurate. Rev guarantees 99% accuracy or better on all files. During checkout, we also give customers an opportunity upload a script or glossary with the proper spelling of names or other terms that appear in a project. Our captioners use these glossary files for reference to prevent errors when working on a file.
- Alignment between captions and speech are off. Most premium platforms require that captions appear on the screen within .1 – .2 seconds of the corresponding speech. We take the caption work that our professional captioners have done and make it even more precise by running it through our automated alignment process. Doing this ensures that our caption files meet the strict alignment standards of iTunes and other premium platforms.
Wrap-up
Our Video Acceptance Guarantee was built with our video production customers in mind. If you’re looking to get your video content captioned for hosting on iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, Google Play, YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo, we’d love to work with you to make that happen.
