REV CALL AND TEXT MESSAGING TERMS
Updated October 14, 2026
These Call and Text Messaging Terms ("Messaging Terms") govern calls and text messages between you and Rev.com, Inc. ("Rev," "we," "us") at the mobile number you provide. The Messaging Terms are part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service at rev.com/legal/terms (the "Terms of Service"). If the Messaging Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, the Messaging Terms control as to calls and text messages.
1. Program Description
Rev’s calling and text messaging program includes:
- Account Communications: calls and messages about your account, onboarding, and support, such as setup steps, account notices, security and verification codes, service updates, follow-up on support requests, and responses to your requests.
- Marketing Communications: calls and messages about offers, promotions, new features, and other marketing content from Rev.
The program is available only to individuals 18 or older.
2. Use of AI Agents and Automated Technology
Rev uses artificial intelligence ("AI") agents and other automated technology to place and answer calls and to send and respond to text messages. Calls may use AI-generated or prerecorded voices. Rev’s AI agent will identify itself as an AI assistant. You may ask to be transferred to a person at any time. You will receive a callback, or you can contact us at support@rev.com.
3. Consent
By checking the box and providing your mobile number, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree that Rev may call and text you at that number about your account, onboarding, support, and offers, including using automated technology and AI agents with AI-generated or prerecorded voices. Your consent to receive Marketing Communications is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You may opt out at any time as described below.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you are authorized to agree to receive calls and messages at that number.
4. Call Recording and Transcription
Calls and text conversations with Rev, including calls handled by an AI agent, may be recorded, transcribed, and analyzed by Rev and its service providers on Rev’s behalf to provide and support the Services, for quality assurance and training of Rev personnel, to keep records of your requests and consent, and for legal compliance. You will be notified at the start of each call that it may be recorded. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle recordings and transcripts.
5. Accuracy of AI Responses
Our AI agent is designed to provide accurate information about your account and the Services, but it can make mistakes. Prices, discounts, refunds, cancellations, and changes to your plan or contract terms are binding only when confirmed by Rev in writing [in your account, by email, or by a Rev representative]. If you rely on information provided by the AI agent for an important decision, please confirm it with us. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under applicable law.
6. Message Frequency
Call and message frequency varies based on your account activity. Rev expects to send no more than five Marketing Communications per week.
7. Costs
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Rev does not charge for calls or text messages. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
8. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Rev. You may opt out of calls by telling the AI agent or a representative that you do not want to be called, or, on marketing calls, by using the automated opt-out option offered at the start of the call. We will also honor other reasonable requests to stop, such as replying STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPTOUT, telling us in plain language that you no longer want to receive calls or messages, emailing support@rev.com, or changing your communication settings in your account.
After you opt out of text messages, we may send you one final message confirming your request. We will process your request promptly and in any event within the time required by law. Replying STOP ends all text messages from Rev under this program, including Account Communications. If you want to stop only Marketing Communications, our confirmation message may give you the option to keep receiving Account Communications; if you do not respond, we will stop all text messages. You can also update your communication preferences in your account settings. To rejoin, reply START.
9. Help
For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@rev.com.
10. Changes to Your Mobile Number
If you change, cancel, or transfer your mobile number, you agree to notify Rev promptly by updating your account settings / emailing support or by replying STOP from that number, so that we do not call or message a number that no longer belongs to you.
11. Carriers
Supported carriers include the major U.S. wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at https://www.rev.com/legal/privacy describes how we collect, use, and share information, including your mobile number, call recordings, transcripts, and text messages. We do not share your mobile number, your text messaging opt-in data, or your consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
13. Disputes
These Messaging Terms are an agreement between Rev and you individually, including if you use Rev as an Authorized User of an account held by your employer, school, or another organization. Section 12.12 of the Terms of Service (Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver), including its 30-day right to opt out, applies to any dispute between you and Rev arising out of or relating to calls, text messages, or the recording, transcription, or analysis of them, including claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the California Invasion of Privacy Act, or any state telemarketing, messaging, or call-recording law, as if you were the Customer under the Terms of Service.
14. Changes to These Messaging Terms
We may update these Messaging Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you as described in the Terms of Service. Continuing to receive calls or messages after the effective date of the changes means you accept them. You may opt out at any time.
