Well, Super Bowl LVII is a wrap, and it lived up to the hype. Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs bringing their A games. But in the end, it was the Chiefs who took home the Lombardi Trophy after winning the game 38 to 35. And Rihanna did not disappoint with her halftime show. Here’s ABC’s Alex Stone with a recap.

Many emotional as Chris Stapleton performed the national anthem. And then a history making moment above the stadium, this year’s Naval flyover piloted by an all female team. The game itself also historic, with two Black quarterbacks facing off for the first time in Super Bowl history, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts. And one other bit of history. Jason and Travis Kelce, the first brothers to play against each other in a Super Bowl.

As the game got underway, the Eagles striking first, scoring a touchdown in their opening drive. The chiefs wasting no time scoring a touchdown in their opening drive, to tie the score at seven. After Philadelphia took the lead at the start of the second quarter, a fumble by the Eagles allowed Kansas City to tie it up once again. Late in the second quarter, Jalen Hurts running the ball into the end zone, the score at the Half, Eagles, 24, Chiefs, 14.

Rihanna dazzled during her halftime performance, entering on a floating stage from high above the field, serving up a variety of some of her biggest hits. The performance marked Rihanna’s return to the stage for the first time in nearly five years. A representative confirming she took the stage pregnant with her second child.

As the second half began, Patrick Mahomes returning to the game after limping off the field in the second quarter, the Chiefs exploded in the second half, scoring three touchdowns, giving them the lead for the first time during the game. With the Eagles coming back with a touchdown and a two point conversion to tie the game at 35. When it was all over, the Kansas City Chiefs raising the Lombardi Trophy after winning Super Bowl LVII.
