Miki Sudo is back at it, inhaling 40 hotdogs and buns in just 10 minutes to win once again. She reclaimed the top spot at Nathan’s famous international hotdog eating contest on Monday.

And she’s still quite a bit ahead of all the other competitors.

The top ranked female eater skipped last year, since she was pregnant with her son, Max.

Miki Sudo: (00:36)
This is my eighth belt now. I am still undefeated. I was a seven-time champion, but I did sit out 2021 last year because I was 37 weeks pregnant with our son.

Julie Salomone: (00:47)
Mickey’s fiance, Nick Wehry competed for the men’s title. He placed fourth, eating 40 hot dogs too. The couple, who lives in Tampa, first met at a hotel gym in 2018 before the hotdog eating competition. The pair has a big appetite for competing, winning, and traveling.

Miki Sudo: (01:04)
I love food in general. There are very few things that I don’t like. Just when I enjoy hot dogs, normally, I don’t dunk the buns in warm sweet juice, I guess. I prefer to top them with onions, sauerkraut, and brown mustard.

Julie Salomone: (01:16)
The duo is known as the hungry couple, competing in challenges and winning world records scarfing down, not just hot dogs, but pizza, burgers, and hard boiled eggs. They hope their son finds a passion and chases it.

Nick Wehry: (01:29)
If you love something and you’re passionate about it, just give it everything you have.

Julie Salomone: (01:33)
Miki admits she feels a little off after eating more than 10,000 calories in hot dogs, but she will be back next year to defend her winning title. The rest of the family will be there too. Julie Salomone, ABC Action News.
