Venky is a Partner at Menlo Ventures. Prior to joining Menlo, Venky was a Managing Director of Globespan Capital Partners, where he focused on enterprise software and infrastructure investments. Earlier, Venky was Vice President of JAFCO Ventures. While at JAFCO, Venky co-founded Trigo Technologies. At Trigo, he served as COO. Prior to that, Venky worked with McKinsey & Co. and Microsoft's Encarta Group. Venky holds a B.A. in Economics and Math from Reed College, as well as a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology.
Austin Ligon is an investor in and advisor to early-stage ventures. Most recently Austin was the co-founder, president and CEO of CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, from its inception in 1991 until his retirement in 2006. He has also served as Senior Vice President of Strategy for Circuit City and Marriott Corporation. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior consultant at Boston Consulting Group. Austin has been actively involved in several startups, including Gazelle.com, Redfin, CarTrade India, and MPrep Kenya. He earned a BA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
Jason Chicola is founder and CEO of Rev. Prior to starting Rev, Jason was the 3rd employee at oDesk. Jason was also an investment professional with H.I.G. Capital and an associate with Globespan Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, he was a business analyst at McKinsey & Co. Jason earned BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Craig Sherman has over 20 years of operating experience in consumer services businesses. Craig is a Managing Director at Meritech Capital, a leading provider of late-stage venture capital to category-defining technology companies including zulily, Facebook, ZipCar and Salesforce.com. Prior to Meritech, Craig was CEO of Gaia Interactive, a 25 million+ monthly unique pioneer in social games. Previously, Craig was COO of Ancestry.com (ACOM), where he helped grow the company from $10 million to $150 million in sales. Before Ancestry, he was CEO of Cendant Japan. Craig has personally invested in over a dozen startups, including Ancestry, SurveyMonkey, Zillow and Zipcar. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University.
Josh Breinlinger is a Venture Partner at Sigma Partners, where he focuses on marketplaces and crowdsourcing. Josh was the 4th employee at oDesk, running Sales, Marketing, Product, and Business Development over five years and contributing to the company’s growth from almost nothing to $100M in annual services. Josh was also the head of product and marketing at AdRoll, helping to design and build the #1 retargeting platform. Prior to oDesk and AdRoll, Josh was a consultant at Arthur D. Little. Josh has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
